I first saw Sidney Nolan's "Paradise Garden" at the Victorian Arts Centre in the early '70s. With 1336 individual pieces in 230 frames it is monumental. So was his work at MONA in Hobart. "Snake" sat in storage for 40 years and I was recently lucky enough to see it exhibited. Comprising 1620 pieces, it too is stunning. "Sidney Glimpses" is at best a minuscule tribute to possibly Australia's best and most prodigious artist.
